New to this site. Wanted to start off with a thanks to everyone that has shared any information here. Has anybody sold any otter this year? Been picking up a few so far. A local buyer here in east central mo said he's paying $40-$60 on them. Sure he's low balling on the price.

All depends on the chance you want to take which is what it all comes down to when selling local or to auction houses. Are those prices put up?If not then you have to figure your time plus a cities charge at auction house as well as 9 or 11% comission. In my opinion I think the prices you got are in the ball park for sure.I averaged a little over a 100 bucks last year but after deductions that would put me around a 88 dollar average plus you have to wait till June to get paid and who knows what will happen time the May sale gets here

A decent run of otter should bring you around $70.00 + $ at auction. Otter have been steadily Increasing In price the last few years.

$80.00 Is great but your only looking at ONE otter. Lets say you have 50 otter (not going to happen In WI) then you will see what a true average will be. Pale otter down graded singed otter down graded small and medium otter down graded.

Last spring you had a real poor run of otter for $70 averages. Any good otter was a $100+ and any poor or small otter was still $70. Aveage run of otter was in the $85-90 range in the trappers pocket.
Groenewold was paying averages of mid to high $60's on green otter this fall.
