I have been using the bmi slide free lock and been using deer stops with 5/64 cable 7x7 but some time it stops just before it is tight enough to dispatch the animal and was going to make up some with the break away S hook what is everyones take on this good bad or use some thing else will be using on coyote and beaver coon fox just all around thanks in advance

We need to use the BAD's. I like the J Hook type because I can get the slide to run faster with them.
The 1/19 just fly's shut when tripped.

s hooks are smaller than j hooks, but will depend on lock type used as an s hook on a cam lock is in line and works very well some locks the j hook would put them more in line around the neck, the less binding the better.
Where legal a deep filed cam lock with s hook and stinger spring on 1x19 5/64ths is darn near bullet proof on coyotes.

I should have said that I bend them to make a j hook just have a couple dozen and was wanting to try them sorry about that but to me it seams to make the lock lock tighter but that is just me and my opinion

If you bend the end of the cable to the side it is tighter. If you bend it straight back from the load then it is very fast.
