Had my C-&'s stole. What do you guys like for cutting cable? Are the ARM imports almost as good ? I don't use heavy but was going to make more pogos and snares for this season yet.Man the C-7s are way up now in price from when I got mine 10 years ago.Anybody have a really good price on them?

A good quality linesman pliers will cut cable adequately.

That's cool that it says it will stand up to cutting solid rod/hard wire as well as cable. What has your experience been when using it to cut plain wire?

I only use 'em for cutting 3/32 cable. Got a pair of sidecutters for wire. Heard from someone somewhere once you shouldn't cut wire with cable cutters. But I'm guessing these would do alright.

I have to disagree with that steven49er-
I used to cut cable with a linesman pliers- and very good quality linesman pliers- and while it cut the cable ok in most instances, it did leave it slightly misshapen and it took more effort.
since going to a cable cutter, I now cut all my wire with it as well, the circlular cut vs the 2 sided cut, again makes things easier and neater.
and on snared critters, no comparison between a linesman pliers and a cable cutter insofar as ease and effceintcy
don't know what brand, but I purchased mine from Rally.

Got a pair from f and t on the recomendation of a guy that cuts thousands of ft of cable that works there!!!!!!!! got the sangro whatever, cuts 3 32 like butter, and no fraying what so however. cut all my wolf fangs with them, nice cutters for the money.
