I have 4 DP's I think they are coon cuff's. They are rectangular with a circular collar on the top. There is no bottom as you need to come up through the bottom to set it. The collar has a hole drilled through it. I guess you have to dig a hole, bait it, put the trap over the hole and then pound a spike through the hole in the collar to secure it? Is that accurate? Seems like a lot of dicken around compared to others. I'd like to utilize them but.......

Should have a chain on it. Do Not stake it through the hole in the collar you will end up with nothing but wring offs. A chain needs to be attatched to the bottom of the square tube

Dig the hole deeper than you think you need it. About 8 inches or so. They work fine, but are a bit more trouble than the new DPs.
