Caught this guy just before the season opened. Little guy caught by a hind foot in a fox snare. It climbed a tree. College boy and I were able to snip the cable off its foot.



It wasn't super happy. Once free it climbed another tree.



This guy is in season. It was also not a kitten of the year. the focus is better, too.

Heh, heh, always like those cat stares.... had a bobcat behind some brush ( pulled back tight against chain with paw and trap outside brush) Season wasnt opened yet and i was very carefully watching cat and trying to release. As you know in a blink of an eye , faster i believe, cat swiped at me with free paw thru brush.... whoa..... put pole cable on neck and tightned till cat relaxed a bit and then released paw and cable quickly.... cat revived quickly and as i was safely back ten feet or so watched him look pissy at me and walk away.... NEVER trust those kitty paws!!!
