Female wolf of 82 pounds. She went down very quickly even though the snare positioning was not ideal. Notice that it only had three legs. All was healed up.

how's the belly? Congrats for the wolf! Belly is fine. But the flank ...... Ugly pelt. Hot weather. It won't be a top lot.

One of these years we will be able to go after them in Wisconsin.

Musher have you tried the new triggers for the singer yet ? I just got three dozen to try on coyote snares. Hope to get to try them this winter.

that, to me, seems like an amazingly quick kill, with the snare forward in front of the ears.

Snare positioned like that on throat cuts off blood to brain - quick kill even without stinger.

that, to me, seems like an amazingly quick kill, with the snare forward in front of the ears. That's what I thought. Nothing disturbed. A couple of bites on the wire and lights out. Ron: Nope. There's enough gadgets on those snares already! Stinger, washers, BAD .... add any more and the weight of the snare will break a wolfs' neck.

Musher, ditch the washers and put a trigger on.

Musher, ditch the washers and put a trigger on. Whammy. I forgot to mention that there is also a whammy! Baddpg:Those tiny aluminum washers help keep things from sliding around. With the way that wolf faded out, there's little point in adding a trigger. More weight .... in my pockets hauling the required pliers.

Ya, but they sure help when things aren't all perfect.
Glad you like the Stingers! Good work!
