At the beginning of our season the temperatures were much lower, some days into the mid 20's. Yesterday is got up to 56 degrees and my catches have dropped. I'm assuming with this warm up that the canines don't move as much ? Seems like it to me anyway.

Tim, first where are you located? NY? You may be trapping local populations and not on travelways as guys like Brown,Zagger,Ziegler,Claycomb etc so be sure what foxes you have.

all summer I could hear small packs in 4=5 different lacation around me, now that it is about time to set traps, have'nt heard one for a couple weeks and no real fresh sign. would like to know if this nice weather is effecting their movement.

I think it does they dont need as much to be warm and louge around more but when the weather turns off they have been moving nicely ,but thats here as for other areas it could be a lot of factors ,

I kinda had the opposite. Been pretty warm and prayed for a cold stretch. Well I got it - all at once. 6+ inches of snow and freezing cold. Everything is now under snow, wet, froze. But boy did the critters start moving.

There hardly moving around here. No reason to! nice weather to relax. Catching them wandering yodel dogs as they come but i would realllllyyy enjoy a nice cool down and some weather fronts moving in.
