After going through a medical issue , I finally got the ok to embark on my annual bird hunt. As I drove through the midwest into South Dakota , seeing that landscape renewed my belief of this country. Dang shame some of the people trying to run it can't seem to remove their heads from their aises, or put the greed aside long enough to getter done. Anyway it sure was awesome. You fellas out there can't possibly be setting near enough traps looking at the roadkills #s. Them fellas from SDakota need to start catching yotes cause I hate stepping in the little dirt holes they dig on a constant basis, should say them govts need to get it movin a bit cause they're slippin on pop control. Have a great season all

Since my wife is a South Dakotan, I've spent a lot of time there. I love it except for winter! The holes you step in are probably badger holes.

rusty your seeing the population ay it's peak and also in areas where many coyotes run to cover as the crops in th eastern half of the state get taken out. There are plenty of coyotes in some areas I will agree with you, the NE portion has the highest densities in the entire state.

Just got back myself. Hunting near Kimble SD. Sure is different country than home. We didn't get more than 10 miles off of 90, but geeeezzzz the rats huts...everywhere. Last morning there 9 of use had our limit of birds in an hour. Saw between 3-400 from 10-11 AM
