OG I'll leave it at that....................... Yep my fault ordered online from a different source than the maker, buyer beware I guess??? I wish I could have looked at it before ordering as well. I will still try it but not holding out much hope and if it does work I will save alot of money and contact fish hatchery suppliers

It is pricey. Can't pinpoint the odor, to me almost chocolatey smell. Haven't used it yet, but did look at and smell it before I bought it.

Most of the hard pellet type baits for the dps are floating catfish food pellets. You can buy a 50 pound bag at tractor supply for 19.95.

I just bought a 25 lb. bag at orshelin's farm supply for 13.00. 1/4 inch size pellets and very strong fish smell. It was the multi-specie fish food also.

No Netrap you got it all wrong! You didn't buy fish food, what you bought is the premiere coon bait of the future. You must remember the details LOL. I have an orshelin's here as well I will take a look today in Richmond to see if they carry it it here as well.

how does it work with DP traps?
Do you have it in the paste? Does that come in a wide mouth jar?
If yes I will take a 4oz of pro coon let me know where to mail a check and amount.
I bought a bag today NEtrap, same price I have a few ideas for it at that price!!!! Time will tell if they work out as a good benefit or not.

At the price, a guy can do a lot of experimenting and see what works best.

DON"t put Pro Coon on your BAIT or directly In the trap.
If your going to use It use It away from the set.

What does the bag look like at Orshelns? What is the brand called? I looked at our local store today, but couldn't find it. I wouldn't mind trying it out. Always looking for a better dp bait. I'm pretty sold on cat/dog food mixed with Coon Potion, but I'd like to try this fish food alsol

Try your local feed mill. I bought Fish meal In 25lb bags. I also bought dried Molasses which I mix with the fish meal. Or just saturate the Immediate area around the trap. Give them something that tastes good.

DON"t put Pro Coon on your BAIT or directly In the trap.
unless you like feeding your coon before you catch them, there is no reason in the world not to put procoon directly with the bait- I do it all the time year after year.
I am a firm believer in having your bait lure unreachable (ie small pvc pipe) or in deep pockets. in dps, I have no bait/lure above trigger. if the above is done, any eating of my bait the coon is going to do, hes going to do in a trap.
now, having said that, I have no doubt, procoon like many other lures, would have a bitter taste and if you are prebating or using bait as a trial lure or something, then don't mix it.

What, if anything, would you add to this fish food/ coon bait? I need some help with the dps, never tried them before.

I use fish oil mixed with lure in the dps I use.
