Ended up being a good season but not great, had a $37.12 avg on coyotes, and a $30.31 avg on coon, both after fees and 100% sold. It will improve a little if they issue a profit shareing check again this year.

Coyote 12.33 Little Miss Peg fetched a whopping 5.50
Coon 18.95 high of 31
I am glad I sold fox earlier. The coon graded way different than other years, but come from same area.

42 ave is great. What part of the world are those from? I've sold quite a few higher, but not averaged that high lately.
Now I see one mink sold 25.

Heavier fox really are worth good money.I thought the coon sale was a little weak.Wonder what Minn coyotes would truly average at this sale.NAFAs coyote results are always a skewed puzzle to me.

don't know on this auction but I know for a fact, that at least some Mn coyotes, averaged about $10 less than that at the last sale, so there is some upward interest..

I finally sold the two junker coyotes(I should have never put up in the first place) that have been up there since Feb. 2008 for $7 each. Couldn't believe absolute junk could sell for that high.LOL Was suprised NAFA hadn't threw them out with the bath water by now.

Blackhammer I should have qualified that I think the mid 30's would have been for here at home.
I think we have a little bit of a heavier coyote than southern half of the state.

I think you might be right-similar coyotes to what I sold locally, same time frame, same put up barely brought $25 average with some no sales at the last auction.

Didn't like the $ 5 bids they were getting at our state auction this year on coyotes. So decided to send it along with my mink and rats to NAFA for the first time ever. Needless to say I was surprised when the first yote I ever sold went for $104.00. Still kinda hard to believe. My rats and mink sold real good also.

aaahh yes those $5 yotes would have made the fur buyer lots of money. Then again fur buyer could have paid $104 and got $5 at auction. Goes both ways. halfton glad it went your way...

Kinda doubt any furbuyer would offer 105, more like 5-10 since this fur market is alot of speculation. All I heard this yr from buyers was alot of moaning and groaning. And then you see what some of the sale prices where and you scratch your head and wonder. I was overall pleased with what I saw, I never shipped coon before and spent some time learning to grade,, some I was on some off. But now I have an idea what to ship and what not. Next is the yotes. 1 buyer tried to tell me I was crazy for trapping coons last wk of season, a coon squashed on a road = $0, on a board bit more. No windfall but pd for costs plus extra to buy more traps and keep people at work. Plus I was doing what I love to do.

I have sent my last coyotes to auction.NC coyotes are not worth skinning. However, i was pleased with everything else. How much work for a 5 buck coyote, I think I would be crazy to skin anymore.
