What do you guys use for freeze proof methods for trapping I have read in the TPC that peat moss works great has anybody from MN Tried it. Thanks guys

I tried it years ago, and for whatever reason didn't like it- probaly lack of bedding experience
it does have problems with somne coyotes being "ginger footed" around it, but the problems can be compensated for by using a LOT of it, not just o nthe pattern but all around.
started using it a few years back, and like it as well as anything- buy it from menards if you can- theirs is stored under cover, so not waterlooged like most outlets. buy it now, cut a few slashes in the bag on the sides and top and let it dry all summer. broadcast a mixture of area dirt and peat over entire extended patterns to make the peat not so "stark".
