you can't do more to a 1.5 than jason did on this victor- if he sees this he will scold me for not using it, but I couldn't bear to get it lost/stolen. there's not a rough edge on it, sets smooth and easy- its one of those traps that just makes you feel good holding it in your hands..........

Looks nice. But why 4 coil a 1 1/2 sized trap. Way over powered to my way of thinking.

the ones jason did for me were not a lot stronger than a std 2coil but much more balanced in power and the wire levers cut thru the soils a bit faster to my thoughts.

They look super.Unfortunately the one spot that I trap has way too many people poking around so I have to settle for nite-latched 1.5 dukes.

tc...some areas coyotes aren't worth much more for their skins...and we all know what a sterling goes for.

I can see the need for sterlings, jakes and other high end traps for coyotes for a few reasons 2-3 day checks, larger animals that fight a trap hard, never had a coon bust up a trap, coyotes can cause damage to lesser traps on a more common bases.
Each to his own and they look really nice no doubt and if you have the money and want to run high end coon traps and fox traps great!.If they lessen damage all the better, I'm sure he has time into each one and needs to make a living.
I was just wondering taking a stock 1.5 and finished what cost was involved is all.

guys- this isn't a production trap nor meant to be one- its just creativity-
but it is a smooth trap, like bill said, its not any harder to set than a stock 1.5- but man is it fast!

If I'd have known Jason D was going to do this, I'd never have sold off monty low levers. They were just too much work the way I wanted them, the way I did them up.
Bill, park one them migs over here. I may be running your direction daily soon, I'll let you know if/when.

Thanks for the kind words guys! The background behind these wire levers: I have always customized everything I own it seems from this to that, it was only a matter of time before I had to have a 1.5 "my way". They are not over powered at all, and the 4 coils are equal to a pair of #2 music wire springs. I will say that they really "load up" at the bottom end of setting the trap, and almost unload at the top end. Overzealous, no doubt. Just had to have 'em that way for myself. And the only way to justify it was to have thousands made to justify the cost. So you can buy them yourself for $3 a pair (enough to do one trap) or TC39 I charge $25 a trap to do what you see in the picture on your clean trap. Not for everybody, but everyone should own one... I run Duke dbl jaws for coon, and feel you can not do any better than that for a long line trap. Cost vs. gain. That being said MB's 450 is THE nicest 1.5 size trap period, and people think they're too spendy lol. What a bargain, we are lucky as trappers to have so many options...

"I run Duke dbl jaws for coon, and feel you can not do any better than that for a long line trap."Jason . . do you weld your own double jaws on a stock #1 1/2 Duke trap, or do you purchase stock Duke double jaws?
