clayton, can't answer your question, but have 10-12 furs done by Moyles, and can't say I can see any difference in color from before and after. Got a 40lb coon that was yellow tinged throughout, and it came back same way. a black beaver came back the same coal black color, and the coyotes all kept the colors, which is usually why I send them to get tanned- blonde, real dark, etc.l

When hides are tanned they add a brightener. That Is probably why you are getting that lighter color.
