Suggestions . Have been asked to remove woodpeckers that are causing damage to a log home . Shooting is not a option . Was thinking of using a victor rat trap baited with ? . If you have any vaild suggestions or have had any success at woodpecker removal I would like to here from you. Thanks

There's a thread on the adc board about woodpeckers from Feb. They're protected here., can you kill them in Canada?, maybe you can get permits?
Friends of mine had the same problem with their 100yr old log house, without asking anyone, they spent a bunch of $ and had their homeplace covered with al/vinal siding. Later they found out the logs are infested with t-mites, beatles, that's why the peckers were there in the first place. Now they can't get to the logs to treat them, and the bugs are eating the place from the inside out.
