I have a lab and would like to clean her ears. Any suggestions on a solution I can mix up for this? Thanks Mike!

we used to use a 50/50 mixture of a weak boric acid mix and rubbing alcohol on the beagles--
put a little into the ear, mash it around by massaging the ear canal, then rinse with same solution- let dog shake his head, then carefully clean with Q tips-
soapy water works well on the insides of ears.
unless ear parasites or infection, this should be all you need.

Here is a link to what I use when I have a dog with ear problems. www.woodhavenlabs.com/ears.htmlIf your dogs ears are just mildly dirty then just use warm water and clean cotton balls. You don't want to upset the PH of a dogs ear and cause further problems down the road. Hope this helps you.

To clean dogs ears get some ear cleaning solution. Squirt some in their ear and message it in. Take a paper towel wrap it around your finger and clean it out. You cant get your finger in far enough to hurt there ear drum. Lots of ear infections are caused from allergy to foods. Once they get bad you need to clean them every few days and when there clean find something to kill the yeast infection. Women products from the drug store will do this. A mixture of hydrogen peroxide and a little rubbing alcohol works ok for cleaning them also. dgarrett
