Are you sure that sterling makes those swivel bodies? I can clearly remember back when i was working as a pipe fitter seeing those things and they were being used as hangers with threaded rod screwed Into them. I seem to remember them being used as fixture hangers. Maybe they just added the J hook.

For the "u" part of a nail swivel, you can get long fence staples, and just cut tips off. saves one bending operation

yep Gary, just been too busy to get back. On nail swivels, ive been "cheating" on the rivets as i hate making the damn things, and found a thin metric jam nut works well with a standard 6 ga J-hook, and havent had huge problems with grass plugging up
