Got a new trapline dog today

After searching for a couple months I finally found a little dog close to home that I am really excited about. The pup is 1/2 Jadg and 1/2 Patterdale. Smooth coat and appears to look more Patterdale at this time. Parents are working parents for a government trapper who uses them to den coyotes and work drags. He also uses them with his hounds when he rockpiles a bobcat.
I've never seen a 7 week old pup so damn awnry and fearless. He will run up to my old trap dog (age 13) grab her by the throat and do the death shake, growling like a Tazmanian Devil the whole time. I need to make sure and get a grip on him, but I think he is going to be fun.

A few months ago I wasn't even sure what a "working dog" was.

Now, I enjoy the stuff on here as much or more than all the others.

Sounds like a handful.lol.The best dogs start off as the most exasperating.You'll probably want to kill this one a thousand times in the first year and a half.Then poof.He'll be the best dog in the world.Been there done that with an Australian Shepherd I had(wasn't a trapline dog as I had no need at that time).Don't know how he survived the pup years.He was so defiant.

He was super intelligent...I think that's what does it.Just about drove us crazy at the time.

Turned out to be the best dog I ever had.Remarkable transformation.Keep this in mind when you want to throttle him.lol.
