I took this pic yesterday, WV's early bear season, these guys are some of my buds, (rough lookin bunch, huh. ) Anyway, gonna go play again in the morn. Dog music!

It weighed 140-some pounds, dressed. No monster, but a nice critter. Here's another pic.

Yep, we had a good chase again yesterday. WV had an early season, 1 week, in my area, then we'll have the last 3 weeks of December, i think without looking at the calendar. The boy with the dogs, is just starting his pack, he was pumped, first one ever killed in front of them.

took the words out of my mouth-
a story you might like- when I was driving school bus, little girl lived with her grandpa on a farm- had several English hounds. One day gave her a note said give this to your grandpa (I never had not ever did meet the man) "Walkers tree more coons"
next day she gave me a note- written in that old man spidery handwritng " English tree bigger and better coon.."
