Just courious what your favorite trap is for trapping skunks...brand....open...enclosed..size..etc.

For skunks only I use the PVC traps from the Snare shop.

For skunks I am currently only using the Havahart 1078 single door open trap.

By using a 1078 Havahart , I'm assuming your euthanizing with a syringe pole. How does this trap lend itself to this procedure.

I cut two in each side and one in the back to allow the syringe to enter and I can vary my angle by switching sides and elevation on my end.

I have used enclosed pvc and sheet metal traps with limited success and suspect a trap a skunk can see through has benefits. There for I am looking for a trap which will suit me for my particular pole setup.

I use the 7x8 safeguard with a trap cover. I do not use a syringe. Just carry them to the truck.
