I owuld love it,if anyone knows someone who has used this ......I do have a guy up north in Md. that uses a homemade type of this for groundhogs.
If you know of someone who has used this PLEASE let me know.
Also before you buy anything or use anything like this,Dont blow your money, until you find out if it is legal in your state and local jurisdiction.

Looks like a flamethrower to me.
I wonder how well it would work on chipmunks and if I could justify the $1900 price tag to my wife.

All I can say is this- I've been doing a lot of gopher jobs following behind my only competitor, who uses such a device.
Farmers around here aren't too impressed- and thats the bottom line.

Steve, I thought you might get a 'bang' out of that link. :-) I believe I might have spoken with the fellow down your way that you mentioned, who uses that similar device - apparently they are ineffective on the pocket gophers ?? Just curious, I would likely never use such a tool up here in the big city - foundations, underground gas / phone lines, neighbors, etc. Like Dusty said, it would be fun just to own one......keep us posted on what you come up with James ( and bring one down to Indy in April ! ) Regards, Mike

I wonder if it is the multiple chambers and mounds the gophers have. I do know that pocket gopher tunnels are all at the same level- that the tunnels often are like an apartment house- several "stories"
Propane is heavier than air and thus sinks- and least above ground. Maybe thats what happens? That not all chambers and tunnels are affected?
