What do you use an electronic call or mouth call? I haven't done alot of callin so I've tried both and have had some come in with the electronic, but not on the mouth call. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or just not in the right place at the right time. Just seeing what works best for you guy's. Dan

I prefer the electronic w/ a speaker extension. With the electronic you can keep both hands on the gun in the ready position.

Dan locate your coyotes before you call them with any type of call!!! Your stand % will go up much higher. Mouth calls work just as well as electronics, you can move the sound away from your position with electronic callers are the added benefit, but always play the wind right and have a decent idea as to where your coyotes will come from, and a hand call can work excellent. I have called coyotes within 5 ft of me with hand calls, you can't get by with as much movement with them, but I use my hand howlers and other calls mixed in with my electronic caller quite a bit.

If you dont know how to call coyotes then the electronic call is the way to go. I cant see spending that much money on a call. Everybody goes down to the local sporting good store and buys a 300$ electrojunk call and goes out and thinks there the best callers in world. I think its great because them coyotes hear that same electrojunk call everytime and know better, you cant change anything up. I can go in behind any one of them and 50% of the time call one with a 8$ mouth call. Its alot more gratifing to call one in by yourself than with someone elses sounds. If you cant use a open reed get a closed reed call and more than one. Go out and change it up some its way funner. When you figure out how to talk to the coyotes with howls yips ki yiys, you just cant beat that. Dont get caught up in the you half to spend a million dollars to do anything. practice practice practice And dont give up

Dan, maybe you should team up with your brother, now that he is an expert caller and can call em up to his feet, seems he might be in need of a SHOOTER. Either on does their job, for coyotes I actually prefer a mouth call, On longer cat stands i prefer a electronic and let it run the whole time. Coyotes 10-15 seconds of squalls per minute is plenty. Get a rabbit and hold him by ears, he will teach you what sound to make. Put some heart into it, make it sound like the bunnies last breath as its throat is getting torn out.
