I have been wondering if the BMP tested lamination for coons on 1.5 cs and what the results were. Thanks RR

RiverRat- I don't know. Not much is being said about the coon BMPS- first word leaked out is "they don't look good"
I'll reserve judgement- but I too am apprehensve. I am sure laminations were tested - but doubt if the scores were much different than unlaminated 1.5s- at least I never saw any difference.
This Coon BMP could be the line i nthe sand for many of us-

I was one of the testers for the coon BMP so I am privy to some info others are waiting on. They have tested laminated 1.5 in Missouri and they failed the last time I checked. That is to say they scored the same as regular jaw traps. as far as I know the only 1.5 that has pasted the test is the 1.5 Dbl. jaw and then it only barely made it. I have suggested they test the 1.5 sleepy creek as most of the coons caught in this trap show little damage. They still insist on the thin jaw victors because they say they are the most widley used trap brand. They also say that brand does not make a diffrence. Guess they have never used 1.5 Monts. I will keep you updated as best I can

If you put that same trap on a drag and he doesn't tangle up to bad he really doesn't chew. I try to drown all coon that aren't in conibears .....B.....
