I received a fur check today for UNSOLD fur that I shipped last year. I'm not certain how to spend the windfall. Any suggestions you might provide will be greatly appreciated. The check is so impressive that I'm tempted to keep it as a souvenir. The furbearer that brought me these riches? A red squirrel. The big cash payout? $00.15. That's right. Fifteen cents. Considering the cost of a check from the Royal Bank of Canada plus the cost of mailing the letter it kind of makes a fellow wonder. Perhaps the lads should save such small amounts to buy themselves a quart after the auctions? BTW: love the new smilies.

A friend of mine got a DUI in college one night. When they take you in, they take your cash and change, and then write you a check when they release you. The next morning he got a check for the amount of $0.28 from the Salina Police Department. I believe its still framed on his wall to this day. Schrader

A few years back when my squirrels sold for $0.09, there was a problem since the Manitoba royality at the time was $ 0.10. Now I collect the fleas off them and average $ 17.00 tax credits per squirrel plus auction sales prices. Proving there are more than one way to skin a cat ,or squirrel in this instance.

I think I can beat you all. Last year I received a revenue participation check for the first year Fur Harvesters had revenue participation. A grand total of $0.01. It only took me about 10 years to get it and it just sets on my desk.
