A dead guy froze to death in a truck out in the mountains.
Said his eyeballs were all dried out and shrunk back in his head.
Guess that's better than summer bloat huh?

Maybe he was blood kin to,'Hatchet Jack". Who was blood kin to the grizzly, that bit Jim Bridger.

May have died of dehydration. Reminds me of a calf I saw once, got scours and died with it's eyeballs all shrunk in it's head.

If he'd found the body in a boat floating out at sea he could claim salvage rights to the vessel and it's contents. ;D
Too bad it doesn't work that way on land huh ?
I've found a few bodies over the years, the area I'm trapping right now is where I found the torso of a murder victim years ago. Caught a fox in a cage yesterday about 30 yards from that exact spot.

Larry Gurr and Cap Atwood came out to Eastern NV in the 60's to go lion hunting and found a dead cowboy on top of a knoll. Can't remember but I think they said his saddle was there.
Other than that just some pants material, dried boots, and white bones.
Legend has it that there is a cave in the Diamond mountains where a horse and rider fell into and bones in the sand. That one is embellished to the point of golden spurs and silver encrusted saddle just waiting for a treasure hunter to take the spoils.
I know beaver trapper that found a floater in the Truckee river just outside of town.

Finding a body is better than finding a person that is about to die and you are too far from help.

Said his eyeballs were all dried out and shrunk back in his head. Just like a marten that has been hanging for a week or so
