Picked up a dz all I can say is WOW awsome trap out of the box. My favorite coon trap was the duke 1.75 but it takes some work to get it operating right. Heavy trap thick jaws 5 in. jaw spread !! paws trip type pan system an great heavy kinkless chain. Gonna try them out this season but I belive I found a new favorite coon trap. --Buddy stopped by today thought I had put a bunch of time an money in my new toys nope factory traps I told him. Not a bad price on em either.
No I anit dead just coming out from under my rock that I love so much. Steve I want to talk to you you bout gophers sometime Got a bunch of hay men after me to trap em. RR

I saw my first ones too, bought a few cases, looked like a hell of a 1.5 trap. was going to keep 2 doz for myself and double jaw, but they got sold today so need to order more.

RR and RK How do you think they would hold up on coyotes? Do they look like they would hold the occasional yote? I'm always looking for the trap that I can take out of the dirt, snap a drowner on, and be in the water with it down the road. I guess what I am asking is, compared to other 1.5's you have seen, how would you rate the stoutness of the trap? JP

i tested several dozen last season, i put the 4 coil boster springs from minn. trap on them and added a good mid chain double swivel, thats all i did, 4 coiled up they hels bobcats, coyotes, coon, badger, on 24 hour check they were real decent on paws except for full paw catches on coyotes, they wear a small cut on some of them , i used them in the water, on land, with the factory chain, with 3 foot chains, and with 10 foot chains on drags, i cannot complain about losses, real good 1.5 trap, and i dont even like 1.5 traps lol.

i'd have to say john prolly said it all. now i havent used them yet but IMHO, they would be about stoutest 1.5 on market for occasional yote work, only thing that would compared would be a 1.5 montana. seem plenty stout to withstand frame bending etc. only downfall would jawspread, but sure you realize that already.
