Ok I know that 1/8 is better for drowners but how do ya ll feel about using 3/32 for dry cable stakes and on coins? All I've ever used was 3/32 so dont have anything to compare too. I use cable extenions on all of my coins from 160 - 330s. Thanks RR

I've always used 3/32", but just got a hold of some 1/8". The 1/8" is far superior stuff for what you want. Wish I'da made the switch a long time ago.

I find it easier to bed my traps when using 3/32...I did use 1/8th cable on my 330's and liked it better...

I prefer 1/8" cable on my cable stakes. It holds up better to my method of pulling (pick-axe), and if they won't come out and I'm forced to leave them, the 1/8" will last a couple years longer than 3/32". On conis, I don't see any benefit to using 1/8" over 3/32".

Always used 3/32 on my cable stakes. Only ever had 1 fail me. I am going to make some up with 1/8 this year just to experiment with.

Maybe this should be new thread but, could you use adjustable drowner cable for tye off of conibears in water setups? Just now beginning to use conis and need a little help on basic setup and securing.

I'm with Bryan on this one 1/8" on all of my Iowa's it is tough stuff, I also pull with a pic axe and it works real well. I also have 10' of it with an ajustable end on all of my 330's.....B.....
