I look forward to our exchanging days on the line- have some thoughts....
Took a ride yesterday over an area I want to expand my mink line in. While the area is very familar to me, I haven't trapped it in the fall. I'm going to add this loop as a 3rd mink line next fall-
Because of the locations on some of the streams, the potential competition and the foot traffic, I'm planning on using 110s 100% on this line. That way- no live mink to worry about, no coon on the bank, no theft, no nosy Lookie-Lous to worry about.
Now- is it the considered statement of BE trappers that it would be RARE not to be able to set up a location using BE sets? In other words- in a mixed run of streams, rivers, marshes- say 40-45 locations- as a rough guess- how many do you feel you could set up bottom edge sets on?
Do you set up all potential sites or do yo ujust have to pass some by?

Rocky fast streams give me the most trouble, you don't have much of that............. I don't walk very far, If Ican get the truck on the shoulder, I can set it up. If I wasen't trapping now, we could take a look at your new line, it looks a lot like it did last fall if the water is down.

Marshes and drainage ditches would be tough, I would think.
Do you make cutouts or somesuch to make points on flat sides "creeks"?
