Musher, I'm talking about guard dogs that were raised in the sheep pasture (probably grew up feeding & preying on coyotes!) and have NEVER had a human hand on them until this incedent!

I'm trying to figure out the "predation" part for the dog.
The dog thinks that it's a sheep or that it owns the sheep and it protects them. However, it kills everything else? How would it respond to a different breed of sheep? How do they get fed? What about lambing?
Does the yote attack the dog or vise-versa? If it's the dog that goes after the yote, does it leave the sheep?
Are Komodor's any good? From what I've read, their corded fur makes them fairly bite proof.

Can't answer any of that other than they kill anything that messes with the sheep.
