After how many coyotes you can say that its a good coyote location? Please say where you trapping...like mid-west, east etc.... because I'm sure Western locations are not like here in the north east. My answer is: With our limited coyote ####, I should say that if I get 4....its a hell of a good location. For fox, I like a + 10 fox. Yours? ? Stef

hmmmnn- a good question.
I guess any location that takes a coyote LOL.
Years ago I read "the hardest thing a trapper can do is drive by those locations where he knows he can catch one coon"
And man, thats true. By passing by the 1 animal locations- you can set up more productive locations.
So.... I guess really, a good location is where I can take at least 2-3. A Real Good location is where I take 5-9.
A hotspot is over 10. I have 2 hotspotsa, sevral REal Good and most good. I think I had only 2 locations where I didn't catch at least 1 canine. And both of those were old locations- Real Good locations.
In fact at 1 last year- I got 13 canines..this year zero. But that farm is funny- seems to have an off again/on again appeal- why, I do not know.

I only had 1 farm that produced only 1 fox, most farms produced 3 -4 my best farm gave up 6. So I am going to say that I am going to have to be happy with a 3-4 number, unless I get one of you famous canine guys to come help me out. I had a mink trapper come and help me and he gave me a 300% increase over last year. Maybe with one of you K-9 guys here I could get a 10 from one farm, although I am not sure what that would do to me for the next season.
