it`s got a female head , but looks big. It`s easy to see why your types cats do better than my type. tell us about the set, lure type, flagging etc. we want to learn while we admire. I can see the good location on that little rock face where no doubt rabbits and packrats camp.

Bob you pegged it. I knew she was a female like you did from the head. She is a pretty big cat but poor fur quality. I'll post a pic of the big tom I caught 3 days before in the same set. He has some fur.
The set is a walkthrough where I crowded them next to the rock about three feet in back of the cats butt.
There is a lone Juniper growing out of the top of the rim, only one for 5 miles. Also a big rim a hundred yards away that runs for about five miles.
Caught her on a bare oversized pan that I had painted drab brown about the color of that rock.
There is a squeaker in the tree and a piece of pink fur hanging from a fishing swivel just out of the picture.
Caught a young tom over on the big rim a few minutes before, probably hers.

should be 1-3 more kittens there for you the next few trips around. sounds like a classic set up. one anyone could make and do as well, IF they new to put it in the right place as you knew to do. man, I won`t start on cats for a good 6 weeks at least and you have me pumped already. I think I`ll go over to the shed and wiff some pee or something. thanks joel, I need these shots of enthusiasm periodically to keep me in the right frame of mind.

something I'd like to trap is a cat.....
Sardonic comment to follow-
unfortunately. living in MN- with the MTA being solidly behind having resident only trappers, I can't go to most states that have cats. Perhaps someday when the leadership moves on MN will join the rest of the world > Perhaps trappers will take it over and the petty jealousies will stop. After all, don't want no stinking out of stater taking MY fur...
