Ok I think I got this new picture thing figured out!!! Here is the pick of the hold in th sterling that was only 60% their.

These types of holds happen because of the equipment being used, good power can make these holds and not let coyotes escape! Remember these are on 3 day checks, and I'll bet the 2 toed would have been gone in any reg jaw trap! Just thought some would like to see the proof is in the pics and that good equipment will help you out. Also note that the levers are all 100% locked up regaurdless of the hold, a good coyote sized offset will use the maximum power of the springs!

TC,
You and I agree 100% in laminations, offsets, and properly sized and powered traps!
All the proponents of the 1.75 size traps seem to have vanished.

Even I admit this to be a little "much"........ I let the coyote dictate which traps I use, I don't bring a knife to a gunfight and I don't have ALL DAY to dawdle, Therefore I use the biggest most efficient trap I can. 13" of rain so far this month, Another year of setting where I CAN as opposed to where I should......
