All I've ever used is wooden boards and have several NAFA Top Lot certs. A friend loaned me some wire ones when I was getting way behind on putting up at the begining of the season. I took one look at them and threw the pelts in the freezer to thaw and stretch when I had boards available.

Hello RR!
Man,I thought you died or something.
The right wood stretchers are great on all fur;provided you get good ones. Matt Jones has an explanation of how he has his tapered for coyotes and it is a real good thread;I'll see if I can find it in the archives.
If you dont already have a source for boards, contact HappyPlumber from this forum;excellent stuff.

Other than coon boards I believe I have sold more adjustable yote boards than anything else. I make one for the Eastern yotes and one for the Western yotes, due to the size difference. I can't keep them in stock, because of demand. HP

Since you are here,HP,did you make some tapered nose stretchers for Matt?More like an otter face than a coyote?
I looked for the thread but couldnt find it;maybe we can re-run some of the info here;it was good stuff.

The tapered nose stretchers are the design made by Bob W. which are the Western Yote. They give a little bit of extra length and actually follow the natural taper if the yotes nose. HP

Edge I anit dead yet I have Matt Jones fur handling video I whatched it again to see what he puts his yotes on. He takes a large otter board lays a standard coon board on top an uses that to mark where to round the top off. Thats what he uses for his boards. Thanks Again RR
