Yep we are on two different sides, you see the police with using too much force I see the police using force for the MAJORITY to keep the general, public safe.
One looks for what they want to find Tman.
You brought up the fact that the swat was called into lake city, Mn I looked up to the reason as to why, a police officer shot in the head and an armed and dangerous person holed up in a residential neighborhood, I see nothing wrong with such. You must?
My daughters school 2-3 weeks ago on lock down for 2 hrs in Lennox,SD another podunk town home of dakotaline trapping supplies by the way LOL. A guy that worked for a trucking company got into an argument with the dispatcher on taking a load out of state, he was told to go home and they would discuss it another day, the guy went home got a gun came back and killed the guy and shot the office lady, they had various law enforcement on the scene and I am glad as they had enough to cover all 3 schools and surrounding residential areas until they found him, armed and dangerous shooters at large I am for one glad they are trained in a military style to look for and find such people.

no, you don't see anything- too many trees I guess..... but in ramblings comes a nugget of truth " I am for one glad they are trained in a military style "
me? I don't like living in a police state- but, each to their own
The thing in LC was 100% mishandled and made into a media event- but it doesn't matter. and it has nothing to do with the killing of a cop- and yes, that was murder too. I brought it up when you said SWAT wsn't in small towns- nothing less, nothing more- you really have a hard time separating whats moot and what is important to a discussion

Again I do not see myself living in a police state, the few times I have been pulled over was for a reason that I could understand without a doubt. I have never seen swat in my town, now KC sure and they are there for a reason. if SWAT is needed where I live I would be darn glad when they respond that I can tell you. They are specially trained above and beyond standard law enforcement officers and serve a role that help protect and serve and to me that is the bottom line. It was a media event for a reason, the media thrives off of such and that is why the Internet is loaded with stories of negativity that sells, and creates paranoia amongst those that are easy to get paranoid. I am not the paranoid type
