Your post was about Oregon beating up Ohio State it was not about 20 years of history of the bowl system but then you have a difficult time trying to crawl out of the corners you paint yourself into. When you make predictions you take some risks for sure and yes there are factors that impact situations that one does not figure on but do happen during the course of the game. Third downs killed Oregon yes they did because they are not a 3rd down team. They did not play a team that could stop them on 1st and 2nd down before and they did not have a game plan for 3rd and 7 or really 3rd and anything. As long as Oregon keeps playing the same type of offense and relies heavily on zone defense they won't get very far in an 8 team college championship series against almost any winner of a major division 1 conference. I would take Ohio State next year with the freshman and sophs they have on that team now and recruiting won't be an issue for them for a year or two either.

Yes it is OK as your statements about Ohio State not being able to run up the middle on Oregon shows just how little you knew about Ohio State. A couple hundred yards up the middle by one back is not luck and you had no idea of what you were talking about.

Btw, Ohio State's record against Oregon is 9-0. Even Tressel could beat Oregon. We had their number when Chip Kelly was coaching them, and we got their number now.
