That was well done and humorous for sure and true as well. I have not watched that show as much lately. I used to never miss the show but times change.

It would be cuter if there actually WAS some kind of bill on immigration :-)

Notice they did say if the republicans could come up with a bill. I feel this issue has far more importance than a one man executive order being shoved down everyone's throat and it will cost the dems a lot of votes in the next election that I have little doubt in, if he actually goes through with it. I can guarantee many dems will really start to pull away from him as this issue carries far more impact with people than he must relies or he wouldn't be going the executive order route in the first place.
That point was also hunted in the skit as well.

If you or others think there is even close to a 50 percent approval rating in this country for amnesty for 5 million illegals I wish you luck in the next election cycle. This is nothing more than a way to garner more of the Latino vote plain and simple and could come back to bite the dems in the butt in 2016. people might like one side or the other until you start enforcing your will on the general public on an issue as divided such as this, the table can change real quick.

Tman what does that poll snow? To me I see more enforcement of boarders and granting visas for those with higher tech skills, where does it say common laborers should get a free pass? Most people coming across the boarder in the middle of the night are not ones with masters or PHD degrees Those type of people from many countries have a easier time to making it into the US anyhow. Some of these people work hard no doubt about that but out of 5 million are they all upstanding citizens? Also some employers that hire illegals are just poor business men and treat many of them unfairly, but one might say another reason for them to become legal, yes to a point but once legal then many will either go onto to other jobs or the business owner will keep hiring the illegal, ones as even with amnesty for 5 million without much better boarder control those that come in the middle of the night will keep coming to fill the voids left so we added 5 million to our population and some may just start using to their advantage the public aid system just like we have plenty of US citizens doing the same each and every day, again some people needs these services others no so much, but become very good at working a system that as you add citizens to our population will tax that system even further. A system that has better than 1/3 rd of our population involved and we need to talk about that at the same time, say we get 1/3 of 5 million to do the same that is another 1.5 million people receiving govt assistance once they are citizens and who continues to pay for this? I do not believe one can look at amnesty to 5 million illegals many who are far under educated and not think about issues like welfare and food stamps. They go hand in hand.

what does that poll show? I don't know TC- what do those 5 questions and the results show you?
you have had the definition of amnesty given to you under this proposal- why do you continue to say things that aren't there, as if they are fact?

Tman it shows people want tighter boarder control and want educated people to have visas to come here, with out tighter boarder control what good does this do?
Also other polls are not so rosey for support the Rasmussen poll is quite different so is the yougov poll as well. Both of them show less than 50 percent support for this action,
Again if he thinks this will sit well with the majority of Americans and he has that power of executive order to do such, let him do it and we shall see how it turns out in a few years, I have my doubts he pulls the pin on this issue and is using such for a political tool more so than a true order. I am sure in some states his democratic congressional people are putting pressure on him no to make such a move, but heck I could be wrong,,,,...
