We had an EF 2 tornado come through our town yesterday at 5:30pm lots of damage , but thankfully everyone is alive. Lots of damage took my pole barn shed out back where I keep all my trapping stuff and tossed it around like a rag doll, most of it ended up missing, insurance adjustor will be by on Tuesday. Town is a mess and no one in unless on a contractors list or ID showing town address. I will be moving as we had a another house in the works to close on May 19,20 the out in the country. Lots of work ahead for our town and the school took a hard hit graduation moved to another location and I don't know if we will even have anymore school for this year?

Sorry to hear that, but happy everyone survived. I hope your insurance adjuster does well by you! I'd hate to think if the Beav's garage was ever taken out how all his trapping equipment would get evaluated. We've had several tornados in our area, one took out close to 100 houses years back within a couple miles of us.
Good luck, Pam

Yes interesting to see how he will do as well, but I will make sure it gets done according to my policy. Thanks Pam main thing is NO one killed in this we are all lucky.
School took it hard roof wise and some walls but insurance has already been there. power companies doing a great job for a small town.

Does the new house have a tornado shelter ? If it does make sure you leave enough room for the family after you put all your trapping gear in there.

new house has a basement which is like a tornado shelter unless talking ef5 then one just better prey and hope in those situations. Our basement is solid and did the job for wind in the 113-130 mph range. Power is back on for 90 percent of town, school is done for the year as they lost their power board and it will take a month to get a new one from the company. Power companies did an excellent job to get people back up and running inside of 48 hrs great job by those people. Good emergency response as well, very organized and tight security to get in and put of town.
