"Not hard to beleive at all."
What I meant by that is that Ann Coulter of all people said it. lol
The Repubs are going to have to compromise finally on this......raise revenue AND cut spending.

I hope you get to pay a bunch more in taxes.

We all should have to pay more taxes.
The Bush tax cuts were a dumb idea when we were waging two wars, and they're still dumb now that our debt has reached $16 trillion.

As I've said before, it you're paying a bunch of taxes it means one thing:
You're making a bunch of money.
There are worse problems to have.

"I hope you get to pay a bunch more in taxes."
If we had an income of $250,000 a year (which is really closer to $300,000 since standard and mortgage interest deductions and some otheres would still be allowed), I would be more than happy to pay a few more dollars in taxes. There were many years that we paid 1/4 of our yearly earnings in taxes and we survived it.
James hit it on the head............be glad you're making enough money to pay more taxes and still live in the style you've be come accustomed to. Certainly more comfortable than not having enough income to pay any taxes at all.
Cheers, Pam

You might be surprised at how many become islands.

Yes we may be surprised at how many become islands and as long as we think islands are good we won't have a robust economy where 300 million can and will contribute. Not much value to our society to have a few million millionaires and billionaires as islands unto themselves and little to no desire to fuel a greater economy.

I'm talking about those that drop out and just say fk it.
I have two friends and a relative that have laid off their employees and scaled their businesses back to what they can service by them selves.
Payrolls and all the crap associated with employees isn't worth the extra income.
Raise taxes and you'll see even more. Ever wonder why US jobs go to India? I don't think it's all about lower wages.

One of the better ways in my opinion to help resolve the owner-labor issue and all the animosity that goes with that is to form more employee owned companies where success means work etc. etc. and you don't have unions at a table arguing with chosen spokespersons representing the owners on how to carve a cake that few know how big it is, how it was baked and the plan for serving the pieces and to whom. We can make workers and capitalists out of most people instead of segregating them by career choice, occupation or if you are an owner or not. We Americans have a lot of small business background, even those that work for others many have small businesses etc. that they operate as well. When travel ling the world I see small business ownership by the millions and that is good experience to have when ram-ping up for the ever changing and expanding global economy.

no its not just lower wages- its the complete lack of any benefits and safety requirements-
if you are going to be an island then its got to be an island- not like a vegitarian that eats fish and poultry........
make sure you close off your postal address, and don;t use any roads or benefit from ANY govt program including fire, police, EMs, etc- all mostly paid for by tax monies
talk is real cheap......

I hated selling houses on those stupid loans, still do, but you can't compete with the Government.
So I'm not going to, I'm gonna get on every entitlement program I can find, suck up some of that Obama gravy.
Hopefully Pam and James will pay some taxes to support me cause I'm gonna retire and trap for cash.

You mean that bi-partisan gravy that was passed into law and has endured through Republican administrations and Republican controlled Congresses, as well as those of Democrats.
And govt. secured home loans are not all you have profited from with support from the Federal govt.
