Build a spear shack and you/ll never ice "fish" again. And if you want (here anyhow) you can always toss a line down the spear hole if you see something you want to "catch". It/s like watching TV underwater. No comparison.

Can't spear In WI unless you are of Indian decent. Or during the sturgeon season. Hard to spear pearch In 80' of water LOL

And I thought MN rules and regs were screwy. Seems the WI regs take the cake. Well, no...calif worst case scenario I guess. Least you can still trap in WI...just not spear I guess...bummer.
Agreed about the perch. They are an exception...that even I will "fish".

never speared from a dark house, but always thought that had to be one of the ultimate lone ventures- just you, silence and the fish
I love looking at collections of decoys- only imagination is the limit!

A nice pike or musky coming into the hole grabbing the decoy is as exciting or more so then a buck sneaking into your view in deer season. Jim
