Half way through this book and is a great read! Chris Kyle a US Navy Seal is credited with being the most lethal sniper in US Military History. I'm proud to be an American and he gives you insight as what it means to protect and serve our country and how it felt taking out the enemy durring the conflict in Iraq. He gives you a REAL account on the IRAQ conflict from being there and not the BS from the NEWS. Excellent read and proud he is an American and I thank him deeply for protecting and serving our country and helping to save others lives with his skill set and training. He also mentions Black Hills ammo as the top sniper rounds made! He also likes GA Precision rifles made in KC,MO! He is a smart guy as well.

It was an o.k. read but I found that they guy comes off as a bit of a smuck. His wife and family certainly did not have life easy. This bar room fighting stuff is rather primitive behaviour.
All in all, not overly "professional. Just lethal as all get out.

Musher I could see it that way, but remember what these guys are trained for and what goes through their minds. They not only give alot for the US with their bodies but also their mental state as well.
The bravado is something I think used as a self defense mechanisim at times. Would be tough to balance it all for sure.

"His wife and family certainly did not have life easy."
That's probably true of any military family, especially now.
Cheers, Pam

Pam remeber though these guys aren't privates, these are special forces people. They know exactly what they are getting into and in fact do not like it when they aren't doing something. That has been said over and over again in the books I have read. The common thread of what drives these people.
