And 'ugly drum smoker', was looking at one a friend built and we smoked ducks on it. Works very well, and I have all the components to build one, including food grade steel drums, and a spare Weber kettle lid that has a thermometer. I get by with my propane smoker just fine and can put it in the back of my truck. No cost differance according to his price listings. Propane is a set it and forget it deal, and I only need to open to add more water or chips. That's his cost, not mine. My cost is probably gonna be around $2 for a few bolts and nuts since I have everything else. Gotta build a Santa Maria style grill too,
