cmr 2 I guess you only have the old sounds or the free ones? The new FP sounds are excellent in sound quaility in fact who else is doing 24 bit sounds?
The mark II sound liabrary is different than standard FP sounds and you can't go by the free clip online either, also many of their standard sounds have worked very well for me as well.
But the markII are high end- very polished sounds for sure! Done on good recording equipment. There are a few of there sounds that are deadly on coyotes!
They aren't mouth calls in a room the mark II's are all real animals recorded and polished on high end equipment.

I think we are hearing from a WT fanboy, same old, same old, "studio quality" sound.
I have been anti Foxpro for a very long time, but these guys are working at it and while I am tired of the whole thing, a new electronic caller every season; as far as I am concerned, my CS24L is one hell of a machine. This new one doesn't interest me.
Now, I suppose the message is, you really can't call a coyote without 24 bit stereo speakers? Sure.

lb it is all about choices and making money in business. FP at least listens to it's customer base on what they would like to see in a e caller, no different than gun makers or any other business that listens to what their customers want. The good ones do this for customer satisfaction and to increase the bottom line. The 24 bit deal was a bit in jest towards the WT crowd and the whole sound issue Bill M started over on his site LOL. Sure many coyotes have been called with hand calls and still do today and will for years to come, in fact many times I mix the two e caller and mouth call at the same time works well.
Nothing so simple as packing a gun and a few mouth calls and enjoy success, but at times the E caller is the better choice.
Each to their own but FP keeps pushing the limits as far as design and functions go nothing wrong with that, we can either choose to stand pat with what we have or spring for a different design that we like better.
I'm with you the CS 24 is a great calling machine.

I am pretty hung up on my CS24 also, but will give the shockwave a try. You guys a right on about the sounds. I have some equipment here of theirs that is pretty impressive. We aren't recording with a cassette deck and a pencil mic. I have had to come into the technology age to even learn how to run this stuff.

I have owned Johnny Stewart, Minaska, and WT. The CS24 I am now using is the best I have owned. Of course it is loaded with several Johnny Stewart sounds and maybe a few WT sounds as well. LOL

yep rshaw I have went the entire route as well and agree those who have cs 24's they like em alot and you don't see many used one's for sale either.
That is the beauty with the open system of FP callers if you can get them on your hard drive you can apply them to your caller, same can't be said for a few other brands!

I have been considering the HellFire as an upgrade for the SpitFire that I got 2 years ago.
Anyone used one?? I Coon and Crow call with what I have and the 5 step volume of the Spitfire seems a bit limiting the first 2 setting are pretty quiet.

I'm getting inside info that this new shockwave is a game changer, but told to keep mum about it.
Well, maybe so, but I think I will keep my CS24L Krakatoa.
What I really need is for Cal to send me a thumb drive with his coyote sounds. That would be a very nice early Christmas present. LB
