We took a little summer vacation to the capital of big bucks, South Fork Outfitting in Western Illinois, for some deer scouting, tree stand work, and of course, a coyote hunt or two. With coyotes being off-limits in the off-season of New York State, it was a great opportunity to feed the addiction while visiting our "home away from home."

Interesting video. You guys worked for that one.The terrain is much flatter than what you film in New York.
I'm surprised how the deer are totally unconcerned by the sounds.
At one point were you two people howling or did you get an answer?
What is that behind you?
BTW: I liked seeing the maple leaf when your cap was on backwards.

The terrain is MUCH flatter then NY, it was nice to hunt fields where you didn't have to worry about rolls or dips.

We run into this a lot in NY too, the deer just don't seem to care. Actually, sometimes they actually come to the call, out of curiosity I guess.
At one point were you two people howling or did you get an answer?
Yes, both myself and the cameraman howled. We didn't get an answer but the dog came out not long after the howl.
What is that behind you?
I think it was an old grain silo...not sure.

Hahah, thanks! One of my Canadian mining friends gave me that hat.
Thanks for watching and unfortunately it won't be till October when the NY season kicks in so check back with us then and hopefully we will have some more videos.
