Hello, I do alot of coyote calling and alot of it takes place in very cold temps. Looking for a good gun oil to use on an automatic rifle that works good in cold weather. Thanks

graphite or none, as in completely degrease the action, especially the bolt assembly. That would be my suggestion.

None is best but I did pick up some of the dry lube sold under smith and wessons name this yr worked real well.

I work for our fine US Gov and one of my occasional duties is as an aerial gunner. The stuff we have been using in our Benelli shotguns is Ballistol Sportsmans Oil. It is the ONLY thing I have found that works when it is bitter cold and you stick a gun out the window going 60 to 90 mph. Those wind chills will gum up anything else, but this stuff works. I don't have a clue whats in it.

I can second what Cal says. I've called lots in -30 temperatures and I've never had a gun misfire or fail to function because of cold. I use Ballistol on all my guns. It's also a very good rust preventative. Rick.

G96 synthetic gun oil. This is great stuff as well used by the military and works from -74 to 350 with the same viscosity properties. Safe on metal or polymer. A little goes along ways.
