My youngest brother, his best friend and I went out Saturday morning and made 3 stands. The first one was dead, nothing but a couple of Jackrabbits running off when we started calling. The second stand we had a young male coyote answer immediately after our first howl. He appeared about 30 seconds later and took his sweet time coming off a hill at our 3 o'clock. A couple minutes later after a series of pup yips, he was in range. A well placed head shot and he was down. The Workman Predator Calls did the trick, again! www.workmanpredatorcalls.com The third stand was another blank. It was getting a little warm and after we had called for about 20 minutes, we called it a day. Can't beat hunting with my little brother and a lifelong family friend that is like a brother to me, using calls made by another brother of mine. This was the first coyote these guys have called in, but it surely won't be the last. All of their practicing has sure paid off and they can speak the language. Happy Hunting!

if your coyotes are looking that nice now, relatively speaking, they must be very nice ones later on.

Nevada coyotes almost always look decent, except maybe close to Death Valley in the summer. In season, they are always worth pulling fur, especially up north. I killed my first coyote in Nevada, close to Beatty and that was in 1968. LB

I've been killing coyotes down here in Southern Nevada since I was a kid and I can tell you, they hardly ever look that good this time of year. Couple more weeks or so and they get to where they are worth skinning. I left that sucker next to the side of the road (His whole bottom side of his face was gone anyways...). It was just a fun hunt with my little bro and his buddy, that is like my 4th little bro... I was just happy that I could produce some game and didn't look like a lyin Happy hunting!
