I had a interesting week trapping and a interesting day. Had to pull some of my yote traps today due to time constraints of going back to work. The first location caught a wolf...this was about 1/2 a mile from rochester city limits. DNR came and released, pics will be coming as soon as developed.

C-mon...no wolves down that far. Well, maybe one...or two. Hey where'd all the deer go?
Seen tracks in Burnsville 2 years ago while trapping beaver in a park system. The park manager confirmed it they had one there.
I "heard" letting go the Alpha male can be tricky. Apparently they don't turn and run AWAY from you...
You had a better week than I. Good for you.

I`ve seen 2 pictures of "wolves" on here. imo you guys are turning loose plain old indiana coyotes. Someone told me that with my first one when I posted it yrs. ago. I look at it this way, if the DNR tells me I better let it go....it's a "wolf". What's deceiving is the size. I watched the "hey bob" vids. and saw a lot of IN coyotes in traps, next to people etc.....NONE of them were even close to the size of wolves aroudn here....with the exception of one mangy nasty pup wolf that was living off of my bear bait and found an MB 450. And to hear em' howl as you approach, no question what it is. I live with a 175 lb. St. Bernard, so I have a pretty good gauge on size. I'd venture to guess if you put an average coyote next to that you would be quite surprised. That said, I'd dang near kill to catch a coyote around here as I can't catch one of them' to save my life....Happy trapping. ScottW

I will trade the yotes for the fox anyday scott. It is funny isnt it years ago when we had fox and no yotes I was begging for a yote, now beg for fox. LOL IF a person ever has a question about wolf or yote just look at the size of the legs and the size of the feet, that will answer it...quickly.

Bob, nothing I stated was meant to be a dig at you or anyone, it was a wolf, but I will post more pics. I know that pic was not the best, it was taken on a disposable camera then scanned to computer.
