I've read about a way to dispatch a coyote without making a bloody mess? Does anyone wish to share that information?

acute chest compression, or under the throat whacking. both exteremely fast and humane both, even tho they look crude to the average anti or non beliver in any killing of anything.

clip him across the nose to stun him down. Then foot stomp the chest? I've read that before I guess. Seems like a good way to get bit? The coyotes I caught in the past were laying down submissive usually but I've had two that were very angry.

I'll have to try that this year. Being from Wis. badgers are protected and I've heard how ferocious they are to release when accidently caught. Years ago I took instructions from a trapper out west who caught a badger and wanted to release it (summer). He waltzed up grabbed the chain yanked it out of the hole it had dug and whacked it hard with a trowel. I said, "you killed it." he replyed how tough they were. Removed it, the whole time his dogs are working this thing over. It came back to consciousness and walked away. I guess I need to grow some cahones on messing with critters. It gets old having to wash fur.

If you do the chest stomp make there’s solid ground under the animal or you’ll have poor results For the guy that clubs a animal to release it ….well I’d call him a dum ass ….just because the badger walked away doesn’t mean it survived

brendon, you need to buy my fox dvd. it shows bare handed no hog snare no nothing badger release. that badger died, bet any amount of money. and only an not a very nice person lets dogs bite chew an animal, club it and release it. I don`t care who the guy is, he is a first class jerk. and a badger will die from gettiong hit in the head with a pencil, about like a red fox. ^&%^$ that disgusts me any trapper would be so crual and callous. it`s guy like that that are our enemy, not antis.

my apology for upsetting you. It was me sharing an experience, right or wrong everyone is different in the way things are handled. You are not going to have the 100 percent of the people agreeing with any one thing 100 percent of the time. Like training dogs. Some people would think a shock training collar is inhumane. While another might think it is a good training aid. And don't think that my reply here means I agreed with how that trapper handled that badger release.

Marty Sennekers DVD shows how to shoot them without blood. Pretty cool.

How does he shoot them. I plan on purchasing that DVD along with others in the future. So Mr. Senneker will eventually get my money, meanwhile, do you want to let the cat out of the bag?

Nick are you a texas holdem player as well? Even the pros flip their cards from time to time to show a bluff.

Nick, On trapperman you were posting pics of location on using the bottom edge set. Are you shorting Mr. Smith and Mr. Noonan from earning a living? I'm smiling right now.

only thing that upsets me is we have trappers doing that kind of stuff, hardly shock collar training of dogs.

I dont have Marty's permission to do so at this time. That would be very unethical of me to do.
I will let him explain if he wants to here as i know he is on the board here. Or when you buy the DVD, you can see it first hand.

It was just an illustration how everybody is different. I know a guy that has good dogs. The dogs don't hunt to please their master. They hunt to avoid the pummeling that will occur if they are not obedient or marking the area and not hunting. Is he a Jethro. Yes. One of my college buddies is an strong atheist. I'm a born again. I guess love the person and dislike the person's actions.

that`s rubbish and no excuse . "folks are different" doesn`t cut it. we all know right and wrong and he is not just "thinking different", he is flat out wrong.

Steve, That is fine. I was at the NTA in Marshfield and I buy several DVDs per year. I've already spent my budget. I was targeting Marty's DVDs since I'm not much of a snarer and we do have many restrictions on our cable restraints I didn't buy them. They will be added to my video library some time. Meanwhile I continue to wash fur. I don't wish to give out all my secrets either. Especially to those who live within 300 miles of Beaver Dam, Wis. LOL

Bob, I'm with you on that. I was just sharing a years ago experience. It shocked me to see it happen. I wasn't about to sit and argue with the man. I feel like I've stirred up the bees and I really enjoy talking to other trappers. I don't wish to cause any damage here people.

heck, you aren`t causing any damage at all. glad you brought it up. stuff like that needs discussed, and trappers doing such things shunned.
