Any feeding problems with your rifle TB? Seems I remember several folks complaining about this model, not functioning well?

no problems at all. :-*the early model regular .22 LR had some issues.jamming etc..main causes were they had a single guide rail and or they tighten then too tight from the factory. Then the old plastic mag had probelem.they came out with metal ones finally and the 3rd generation ones are ok.In the .22 magnum 597 there were never any problems.so when you hear this it was mostly the .22 LR.The HMR 17 though had problems and several blew up.Now remington is replacing all those HMR FOR FOLKS WITH THE .22 magnum barrel. So if you want a nice looking good shooting semi auto i,d buy another 597 .22 mag in a heartbeat!Only thing you need to do is put a VQ drop in hammer so you get a nice trigger pull.cost about 40 bucks.i have a jarvis hammer that breaks clean at about 2lbs no creep but they quit making those but the VQ suppose to be as good.midway sells em.THEY TOOK THE heavey barrel 597 off the market for awhile but i see they started making em again.it was and is a very popular gun.Bill

not sure how much.my buddy bought one when they first came out and i wanted one after i shot his.so about 4 months later my wife bought it for my birthday.i think i had mine about 8yrs.i think she paid around 300.00 at the time.but as you know guns have gone way up like ammo.i would guess a dealer could get you one and sell it to you for about 450.00 the heavey barrel one also comes with a weaver base on it too i put a weaver 2-7 rimfire on it with leupold weaver style rings
