It is a great time whether coyotes get killed or not. Running the hounds and hearing them sing is whats the best

Let me ask a question. I've hunted fox, bear and cats with dogs, coon too. As a rule, what kind of circle will coyote run?
Friend's bear hounds got after one a while back, bayed it under a snag, and got it. I wasn't along that day, but I know the ground pretty good. Other than getting out of hearing, behind a ridge or something, you could have heard the whole chase from one spot. Is that typical? I'd guess they'll run a little bigger circle than a red? That would be fun.

There is alot of bluff country where we hunt, getting around to the dogs in some places are not the best. If we were using snow mobiles it would so much easier. We could start a run in a small woods then head out across open fields then drop into some big valleys. So to your ? every coyote is different. We have had some stay in a small 80 acer wood lot and some others run 4 miles away and turn back somewhere alone the line and make there way back
