reading new pup thread, made me smile at how hard I tried to come up with neat names for my trial hounds-
some examples-
Cherakawa's Pardon My Patches- a little female with spots all over
Cherakawa's Johnny Walker Red- a big 15" red beagle, slow steady, smooth voice
Cherakawa's Cat Ballou- dainty, cat feet, daddy Mastery's Blue Boy
my favorite, and it cause great chuckles when drawn at trials-
Cherakawa' IMEZRU
Trials secs would stumble....emmzzrou, etc.
I'd say, just sound it out........
after a while, it was will, and bill, and bud and limbo, etc
any other good names?

I've had a few. One we named O.D. as in overdose. We had 14 pups and were keeping several. we brought the rest to someone who was going to sell them for us. When we got there my wife said that she really liked "that" one so we took it back home. The joke was that we were overdosing on pups.
iIve had a couple of "Canoes" as well as Kayak. the ran side by side. I didn't mane them and they came from different breeders.
I've got a "Wingnut" right now. Suites him fine.
The Inuit names are a pain. (insuk, inituk, iniktitut) They are tough to spell and all sound the same. It's a real pain when the vet comes for the shots. Those dogs got renamed.
Buddy has one called Diesel but he pronounces it dizel. Diesel runs with Cowboy.

Was at a hunting camp once with 4 different dogs and 4 breeds. The dogs were all called "Bandit", talk about confusion, when one of them was doing something wrong. 6 guys would yell , 'Bandit' to disapline the butter eater, and 3 dogs would cower in fear... of course the black bandit would sneak off, licking it's lips. Moto of story; Never trust a black lab with your back turned. and don't have him in your boat the next morning, cause someone is going to be looooose as a gooooose.
