Has anyone noticed a higher succes rate calling coyotes in the morning versus the afternoon? Do you change your calling techniques when calling either time period?
Thanks

gregh,
In the fall, I like early mornings the best. First couple of hours of morning is my first choice, with last hour before dark taking second place. During the cold winter months it doesn't seem to matter what time of day you call. They call pretty easy all day long, especially on overcast days. Breeding season is in full swing now, so your coyotes may respond better to howling than prey distress.

Thanks richc I have always favored mornings but recently it has been difficult to get out but afternoons and evenings I have some time. I am just curious what other hunters have found. I have switched to female invitations and howling the last week here but to no avail.
